Coronary CT Angiography is part of a revolutionary advancement in what is known as non-invasive cardiac imaging. Utilizing ultrafast CT imaging, it visualizes the patency of the arteries that bring blood to the heart as well as to extremities and other organs. It helps characterize coronary plaques in patients who have cardiac risk factors. Compared to catheter angiography, CTA is fast, non- invasive and more patient friendly.
