Defogram
Examination for chronic constipation. This painless X-Ray examination provides information on the function of the lower colon or rectum and the surrounding organs such as the bladder & small bowel. Contrast is introduced rectally as in a barium enema yet involves the patients actually pushing to evacuate the contrast material as though have a bowel movement. This procedure is only performed at our Edison Imaging Center. Total Exam time is between 1-2 hours.
